FracMod is a MATLAB® executable file that calculates the variogram fractal dimension (FD) of planned intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) treatment fields that are exported from EclipseTM in generic dosimetry exchange format (DXF).

FracMod comprises a graphical user interface and variogram fractal dimension (FD) analysis tool developed by the authors using MATLAB. FracMod calculates the fractal dimension associated with Field fluences usng on the treatment planing process for IMRT. FracMod has been used successfully to identify overly modulated dynamic IMRT fields designed for treatments of the prostatic carcinoma and head and neck cancers.

In order to run FracMod you need to install the Matlab Compiler Runtime (MCR- 7.17 associated with R2012a) that can be found at: MATLAB MCR
